Instructions Query searches of PDF archives can only be done offline, so to get the maximum benefit from this research tool, you must download the PDF documents to your computer. Download Deliverance Documents or News Archives and the searchable index file (in ZIP format). For quicker downloading, get all the archives in ZIP format from the Downloads directory. Drag and drop all the files to a directory on your desktop or your hard drive, including the index ZIP file. Expand all the ZIP files into the same directory and load the index into Acrobat Reader to search the entire archive. Do not delete the additional directory or its contents which come with the PDX index file. To load a catalogue index, launch Acrobat Reader, Select the Tools menu and choose Search/Indexes, then click the Load button to search for the docsindex.pdx, newsindex.pdx or siteindex.pdx files and when you have located it, click on the Open button. To search the archive, select Tools/Search/Query and type in a word or phrase to search. A Results window will list all the documents in which your search criteria are met. Select a document and click on the View button to find every instance of your search term highlighted. This site was established in 1996 in support of the Northern Territory "Rights of the Terminally Ill Act (1996), subsequently overturned by the Federal Senate in a campaign comprehensively documented on this site. Deliverance advocates the passage of similar legislation in other jurisdictions in Australia and abroad, and seeks the highlight the plight of the terminally ill, or those who are facing illness and possible death, and explored the technical and legal options available to them in pursuit of this basic human right.
