Hr. Ms. Castor

Instruction brick Castor was build in 1878 (followed by Pollux in 1879). The ship measured 35 x 9.58 x 3.70 meters with a tonnage of 419.

In 1888 she came in service at the Royal Netherlands Navy for education of young seamen. During those days many seamen got there first expirience at sea on these fine ships. Till 1910 the ship made many trips on the North Sea.

After 1910 she became a storrage ship. In 1920 Castor was sold, fate unknown.
