This was the last ship of a series of 4 minesweepers for the Royal Netherlands Navy. The first specialy designed ships to counter the thread of mines in the Netherlands East Indies.

The Ships had no real name, simply 'A', 'B', 'C' and 'D'.

These minesweepers where build of steel and had a tonnage of 179 tons. In 1930 Hr. Ms. 'D' departed for service in the kolonies. She would never return to the Netherlands. On 6 March 1942 she was sunk by her own crew near Soerabaja. The wreck was never salvaged.

The model was based on the modelplans of the naval historical branch.

The little vessel with all the air-intakes and the two pole masts just had to be built. It took about 15 years to get started but finaly in december 2004 it happened.

More and more plastiks where put aside. Exchanging for metals.

The bridge was modified following the photo's of the ship in the early 1940's.
