Thanks
Thanks for visiting. My name is Timothy Archer.
I set a page with a complete picture indexI'm originally from Santa Clara, California (San Jose area). From 1980 to early 1989 I worked at Great America. I attended Mission College and San Jose State University.
In January 1989 I moved to Honolulu. I'm involved with the Civil Air Patrol and the Hawaii Air National Guard. In Civil Air Patrol I'm the Deputy Commander for Cadets for the CAP, Honolulu Composite Squadron. I also help with the communications aspect utilizing VHF base stations and handheld radios. We also have a packet VHF digipeater. We meet at a tunnel/bunker at the back of Diamond Head Crater, near Waikiki. Our squadron also coordinates the glider program at Dillingham Airfield on the Northshore of Oahu.
I'm a Senior Airman in the Hawaii Air National Guard in the 293rd Combat Communications Squadron. Our unit is based at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii. Our unit deploys to a lot of interesting places around the Pacific. So far I've been to Thailand (Korat and Bangkok), and Wake Island. We've also had local deployments to Molokai and other parts of Oahu. In February I received "Airman of the year" for the Hawaii Air National guard, I was pretty excited! (no extra pay, just a great parking spot for the year!)
I really like flying and I'm working on my private pilots license (single engine/land). I also like to hike, swim and run. I would love to hear from other folks with similar interests.
