Here at Black Midnight, we believe in free expression, human equality, social interaction and the sharing of various ideas through various forms of artistic expression. We DO NOT believe that an individual's race, religion, skin color, age, gender, or sexual preference are of very much importance. We encourage individual thought and the expression of that thought without the limits and stereotypes of social boundaries. This is a place free of judgement, hate, and hopefully, ignorance. Please keep an open mind as you look through our site.
Here at Black Midnight you will find short stories, poetry, essays, and photography submitted by average people. Unfortunately, we can not afford to pay for these works, but the ultimate goal of this site is to possibly create an anthology of all the submitted work for publication.
Basically, the only rule for submissions is that the material not be pornographic, hateful, or excessive use of profanity. All works will be carefully reviewed by several people, the Management and a select group of consultants who donate their time to helping keep this site up to the highest standards. If any work is denied, we will give you a full, detailed explanation as to why. However, it is only under the most extreme circumstances that the rules are not followed.
