The 300th anniversary of the Khalsa (April 1699-April 1999) was a major motivation to create this site. Therefore, this site is a tribute to the Khalsa all over the world! I thank Guru Gobind Singh ji, the Father of Khalsa, for His ever loving presence, support, and motivation to do righteous acts. It is in the love for Guru jee and his Gursikhs that The Khalsa Universe WWW site has been created.

I would also like to thank all the Gursikhs who have pioneered many Sikh websites and thereby, provided inspiration for this site. I am a collector of the Khalsa insignia-- the Khanda, animated Sikh gifs, and other unique graphics on the web. :-) If I have used images from other Sikh sites, I have tried to change them so that the uniqueness of the orginating site is maintained. In certain cases the images are too good to be changed by unworthy graphics editors, and may have been used as is. My sincere thanks to those whose graphics I have been able to use in this site. I know how long it takes to make graphics. I can say this because only I know how many tedious long hours I have spent scanning pictures, creating graphics, etc., for this site.
Finally, I wish to thank my wife, Sukhsaihaj Kaur, for her patience, support, and understanding as I worked umpteenth number of days and nights to complete this project. If there are any typing errors, they are my 9 month old daughter's, for she has been most eager to use the keyboard while sitting in my lap and being my beta-tester for exciting content on these web pages!
