Quite used to lighting
candles in the dark,
I've been blinded
by the whiteness since,
and have held Him
in my breath,
not daring to let go.
And so, you see, the silence
which I ask you to forgive.
Let me nurture
His magnificence
one moment more
in my heart,
so it too may shine.
For You, with the blessings
You are pouring on me now.
And all it took was to obey
Your just commands,
Every one of them, over
Three years of hemming
And another three months
Of hawing, post-haste.
All it needed was a major
Purification of soul,
And not a little repentance
Of spirit. Asking Jesus
For help did the trick,
So fast the transformation
After. So now my bounty
Comes tumbling from Heaven
Gift-wrapped and all,
Numerous, large, and unceasing.
What more is there to ask
After all I have received?
Only Heaven.
Only Jesus.
Only to be with You
Forevermore.
