So you've found my hiding spot. Well, now that you are here, come on in before our masters find us. Greetings, my name is Seamus Conal, member of House Silver Heron, yeoman to Sir Sirhan al Cyani ibn Atai Akerel Diablu, Black Knight of the East. When I'm not mucking about in medieval recreation in the lands of the East Kingdom, I am simply Kevin McGlynn, Program Associate at Shaker Heritage Society, in Albany, NY, with a BA in Classics (Romans! And Latin! And Greek! Oh, my!) from Siena College. While there, I helped found a medieval history club there, the Medieval College of Hawks' Aerie.

Along with my interests in medieval history, I am a member of the Society For Creative Anachronism, or S.C.A., where I am a Lord in the Barony of Concordia of the Snows, on the western border of the East Kingdom.

I have far too many hobbies and interests (brewing, herbs, metalsmithing, cooking, languages, occasionally subjecting people to my singing, woodworking, comparitive religions and cultures, generally clowning around, archery, caligraphy, martial arts, crafts, fencing, etc.), but I have found that many of them fall within things done in the SCA, which, happily, saves me a lot of time and a small amount of sanity.

And just when you thought that all that useless history and hobbies would amount in a go-nowhere loser, no! I am quite happy to tell you that those very things have landed me a job as a Program Associate at a small local house museum! The Shaker Heritage Society, in fact, if you care to go take a look. I should probably work on that site as well, soon.
