The Parish Church of St John the Baptist in Ruardean

Ruardean is a small parish north of the Royal Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire, England. The Parish Church, pictured above dates back to 1111 A.D., and its Parish Records (Found in the Gloucester Records office) date back to around 1540.
Several generations of Franklins were born there. One man, a John Franklin, born in 1790, emigrated to the U.S. in 1812. His Genealogy and that of some of his ancestors can be found at the links below.
