Plot -
Three of the new Avengers (Thunderstrike, J2, and Mainframe) wait at the Avengers Mansion
for their final member, Stinger. However, Stinger is a short while a way at her and her
father's (Scott Lang, the second Ant-Man) lab. Although her father is not happy with
Cassandra being Stinger, she leaves anway. When she arrives, she finds the other waiting
for her. Mainframe tells the Avengers that Dr. Bill Foster, an Avengers associate from the
past, has asked them to help determine what caused the appearance of a strange sattelite.
However, on the ride there, J2 accidently reverts to his true form, that of a twelve
year-old boy! Thunderstrike is angry, but the team decides to wait until they hear from
Dr. Foster before they decide what to do. Getting there, the Avengers split up, with the
aid of Dr. Foster and his son, John. Thunderstrike and Mainframe find two of Foster's lab
assasstants trapped in a strange prison, but manage to release them. Meanwhile, Stinger's
crew finds the crash site, confirming that the satelite is really a ship. However, a Kree
Sentry, a robot designed by the alien Kree, attacks Mainframe and Thunderstrike. They ward
him off, but can not defeat him. Stinger's crew recieves their emergency transmission, and
J2 manages to transform back into his powerhouse form. However, John Foster and Stinger
find the dead Kree pilot's body in the cockpit. But J2 steps in to save Thunderstrike from
being pummeled. Stinger joins in the fun, slowing the Sentry down. However, the ship is
falling over a cliff, with Dr. Foster and John still inside. Unsure of what to do, John
places his hand on the power console, and he is transformed into the Earth Sentry! He
frees his father and stops the Kree Sentry from murderering the Avengers. The Avengers
offer John membership, but he declines, claiming that whereever the Earth Sentry flies, he
flies alone! |
