• Brief Summary:

  • [Dream Sequence.] It starts, the paramedics are taking Lorraine away, and Marlo and Bruce have a touching moment about Betty's death. Then Rick and Captain Marvel say goodbye, share a joke and Banner leaves. Marlo walks over to Lorraine, saying goodbye--but Lorraine leaps up saying shes going to kill Marlo, then Marlo wakes up.
    Cap drops Marlo by accident, As he flies to catch her, he crashes into a goose, and puts together his battle cry, "Oh What a Goose I am." He yells at Rick, and then goes catching Marlo. Then we jumps to see Kelly, and she cuts herself with a blade (real eerie moment). Cap brings Marlo back to her apartment, and they go through a uncomfortable moment. And Cap leaves. Then, Marlo sees Lorraine's ghost, and faints. Rick finds Moondragon in his apartment, along with the hole Drax made. Then he shouts at her. Then, Drax is approaching a girl scout, asking for a box of mint cookies (Moondragon asked for them last ish) when shes out of Mint Cookies, he screams and flies away. Back to the scene of the "cutting Girl," Kelly, her mother smacks the blade from her arm after she draws a eerie symbol on her arm. Marlo is still yelling at Moondragon, and threatens to kick her out, and Drax comes crashing through making a new hole("Drax! Buddy! hi love the new hole!" As Rick says) and he attacks Rick, Who instantly becomes Cap M and they battle. Drax accidently causes CM to slams the nega-bands together and they are transported away (rick comes to earth). The protective hull that the bands generate to keep them safe in this other universe bursts with the weight of Drax AND Captain Marvel, and they fall towards a planet.

• Title: "Visit to an even Smaller Planet"

• Summary:
  • When she attempts to probe Rick or attack him, Rick plays the music as top notch sound. The song is by LIMP BIZKIT. Rick says he cannot contact Genis, because he must be unconscious. But when captain Marvel wakes up, they begin to speak again. They decide that it must not have been the nega-verse they were switching places in. Captain Marvel is then eaten by a giant fish monster. At Marlo's apartment, she is showering talking to herself. She believes that seeing Lorraine's Ghost must have been "survivors guilt" but while taking the shower, Lorraine appears again spooking Marlo. Marlo falls over, pulling down the shower curtain. (Like in Psycho), and she says to herself "I'm losing my mind." Back on K'ai, Drax is waking up in a master bedroom, with pictures of Hulk littered all around. Several Green-skinned guards walk in, calling him Hulk. When Drax tries to correct them, they seem to think "Drax" is just some form of Earth greeting. They bring Drax to meet Visalia, Jarella's sister, who also thinks Drax is Hulk. She uses her powers to clear Drax's mind, and she kisses him. Back with Cap and Rick, Moondragon convinces Rick that he must tell Captain Marvel to go find Drax and bring him back. And Rick, after Moondragon "strikes" him with guilt, agrees. Captain Marvel goes off to find Drax. Back in the office with Kelly, Kelly for a single frame, morphs into some kind of cosmic alien(I think) and walks out of the office. After asking for directions from the people of K'ai, Captain Marvel flies into the castle, and confronts several guards, but he blasts them away. Then, he meets Drax(who is posing as Hulk) and Visalia.

• Title: "It's a Small UNIVERSE After All..""

• Summary:

  • It starts off at the comic book store, where some guy comes in with an entire box of YOUNGBLOOD #1's special collector's Edtion, and Marlo offers him a dollar for the whole box. He gets angry and asks to speak with the manager, he comes over and defends Marlo. The customer then asks to see the owner, the Manager points to Marlo and she waves. The customer leaves just as Ghost-Lorraine appears saying she's bored. Marlo takes the rest of the day off, with Lorraine following her. Back on K'ai, the Microns are walking through the crowds just as CAPTAIN MARVEL is thrown through the castle wall by Drax. The guards are sent to seize "the alien" but Captain Marvel fights back with a sword, because in this smaller world his photonic energy seems to take longer to build up. Back in the real world, Rick still has Moondragon tied up and listening to Limp Bizkit.Moondragon begins to cry, worried for her father and Genis, just at that moment there is a knock at the door, it's Marlo. Drax then goes after Captain Marvel, but one of the Microns blasts Drax away before he reaches him. Drax's intelligence begins to wear off, when we see that Jarella's sister is not at all in love with Drax, but with Dexam, and she is not actually Jarella's sister! She's a fake using the people's love for Jarella to take control! Then there is a flashback to when the X-Men and the microns fought against Thanos, and the Micro-verse was merged into one reality. Just then, Drax returns to fight them, and Genis holds him off while the Microns talk to each other through their communicators.Marionette, who was hiding the curtains in the castle while Dexam and Visalia are kissing, then Dexam finds her and they start to fight. Back at Jones' apartment, Rick and Marlo are speaking. Marlo makes a date with Rick -- while Lorraine continues to talk to Marlo. At that point, Marlo kisses Rick and asks to go to the bathroom. When she goes into the bathroom, she sees Moondragon tied up and gagged on the toilet, she goes back to Rick asking what she saw. He claims she was seeing things. She and Lorraine leave, and Rick sits back in the chair saying, "'wouldn't want the other kids to say I'm chicken.' What the hell was I thinking?'" Captain Marvel continues fighting with Drax, while Mari is dodging Dexam's blasts. Mari then comes up with a plan, she shouts to Drax saying that Dexam is trying to kill Visalia, and Drax grabs Dexam and drops him. When Visalia sees Dexam hurt, she insults Drax and tries to help Dexam. Drax then catches on andthrows the two off the castle, Dexam catches them. Genis turns into Rick, and Rick stands before the planet's people and explains to them that Drax is not really the Hulk and that Visalia is not really Jarella's sister. At first they don't believe him, but when he claims to be a wizard(and turns into Genis to prove it) they believe him and the crowd beats up Visalia and Dexam.

• Summary:

We open on a basketball court and a group of kids are making fun of someone who is sitting in the basket ball hoop, until Kelly comes along and start yelling at a guy called Ian. He used her to get back at his old girlfriend, and now Kelly is mad. She uses some kind of cosmic power to turn him into a tree. One of the kids pulls a gun, and demands he turns Ian back. But the kid in the hoop blows the tree up, and all the kids run.

At Rick's apartment, Rick frees Moodragon. And tells her to speak to Drax through him and Genis. In the microverse, Drax is shouting into Marv's ear, thinking that is how Moondragon can hear him. Then, Moondragon uses her telepathy through Rick and Genis, and speaks to Drax. Drax decides he's going to stay in the microverse and Heather accepts his choice. Rick tries to comfort her, and Moondragon hits him where the sun don't shine.

Kelly and the kid, named Benny, are walking through the street and cars swerve to miss them. They decide they're going to try and destroy the world together. High above the Earth, however, a spaceship looms. Someone inside believes they found Benny.

In the Microverse, Genis is flying through an icy-land, while talking to Rick. When suddenly, Genis' cosmic awareness tells him something, it shows him the destruction of the entire world. Moondragon senses it also. (A really nice image drawn by Chriscross here!) Rick and Genis exchange places.

Suddenly, Comet Man flies down towards Benny and Kelly. Genis and Moondragon fly towards the battle, while Rick is in the Microverse, freezing his butt off. Benny and Comet Man begin fighting, and Comet Man goes down in front of Moondragon and Genis begins fighting Benny. Moondragon suggests that Cap might have to kill him.

Genis begins charging up the final blast to kill the kid. Both Rick and Comet Man shout for him to stop, Comet man sends an energy beam at Captain Marvel, causing him to miss Benny. Rick is amazed at how alien Genis' morals are, he was going to kill a kid because he might be able to destroy the world. Then Genis reminds him, he is an alien. Genis blasts Comet Man, and throws him aside while Rick tries to convince Genis not to kill Benny. Suddenly, a large amount of rubble is about to fall on Benny, insinctively Genis saves him. Then tells Comet Man to take the kid away.

Rick thinks he did the right thing, Genis doesn't.

• Summary:

  • It starts off in the middle of the night where some park janitors come across an odd spaceship. They think it's a new ride simulator or something, until the SUPER SKRULL comes out, and fries them both. Then we leap to Marlo's apartment where she runs out of the shower to see her food is burnt, Lorraine just stands there making jokes. Then, in an alleyway Genis turns back into Rick who is dressed in a nice suit and has some wine. Also, Genis promises not to interrupt his date with his cosmic awareness no matter what. Marlo opens the door, she looks really hot, and Lorraine is in the doorway with her, smoking and Genis' head is floating over Rick.Inside the apartment they're talking to each other, and their "invisible friends." There is no way to describe this funny scene, so I suggest you go out and buy the book! Then, Marlo asks what Rick wants on his tombstone(the pizza of course) In a cemetary, Kelly is sitting on a gravemarker near Jack Kirby's grave("The King!") Moondragon is standing by the corner trying to contact Rick through telepathy, because she senses danger. In Marlo's apartment Rick shouts scream at Moondragon, and confused Marlo. Some more great dialouge that's simply indescribable! Then, Rick and Marlo start kissing and knock over the couch, so they're behind the couch doing the unmentionable. In the microverse, Genis is upset that Rick won;t let him out to help Moondragon, he then thinks about trying to get out on his own so he slams the negabands together. Which only discharges energy that toasts the area around him. Then he shouts to Rick "YOU'RE NOT ACTING LIKE A PROFESSIONAL!" really funny! Back with Moondragon, she is mistaken for a hooker so she has to slap the guy, then goes off to handle the problem herself. Kelly senses Super Skrull around her, even though he is invisible. Super Skrull gets the order to kill Kelly, but by the time he charges up to kill her, she's gone. When he goes after her, Kelly attempts to turn him into a potato salad, but his Kree technology protects him. Super Skrull prepares to lay the blow to kill Kelly...but he won't because Kelly is afraid or fighting back, it's unhonorable of him. Then he gets blasted by Moondragon and they start fighting. Moondragon tells Kelly to run, but she doesn't, saying "I'm arranging for help." Back at Marlo's apartment, Rick and Marlo are still messing around. Then Rick tells her he has to go, he can't tell her why without exposing her secret. And Marlo freaks out, and totally ruins the mood. Rick finally gets fed up with keeping the secret from Marlo, he shows her! He turns to Genis who then explains that they are bonded. Instead of being angry, Marlo hugs Genis and kisses him(the kiss is for Rick) because she's so happy Rick has to help people, and is not afraid of commitment. Genis flies towards the park, and blasts Super Skrull. Moondragon asks Kelly if this is the "help" that she was arranging. Kelly says no, and points to the sky saying "No, actually...since you asked...He is!" and points to none other than, THE SILVER SURFER!

• Summary:

  • The comic begins in a swamp, where we learn of Kelly's origin. Her parents' plane crashed and they became standed alone in a swamp filled with gators.They are chased up a tree by a gater, and as soon as they are safe lightning hits the gator. Kelly's mother and father take it as a sign, so they make love in the tree, hence, Kelly was concieved.
    Back to modern-time, Silver Surfer has just arrived, Moondragon and Genis are fighting the Super-Skrull. Surfer explains that Kelly had summonded him, and that no one else should have that power. Moondragon attempts to enter Kelly's mind, but Kelly uses her powers and a Hysta snake comes out of Moondragon's mouth.
    Else where, Marvel and Lorraine are walking to the comic shop. When they get there, they notice that it's completel empty--the reason? A new shop "Comic Book Castle" has opened up across the street. offering 30% of new titles.
    Genis begins fighting the snake, but then stops when Rick tells him to find the girl beause she's causing it. Silver Surfer thinks they should let Super Skrull destroy the girl because of her powers, Genis shouts at him and flies off after her, leaving Surfer behind.
    Super Skrull is holding Kelly, talking to Inteligensia via a video communicator, she tells him to destroy her and he doesn't want to, suddenly Captain Marvel blasts Super Skrull. "Release her, Skrull!" Genis shouts and fires at Super Skrull causing him to drop Kelly.
    During the fight, Rick speaks to Genis asking him why he is protecting Kelly when last time (issue #7) Genis was ready to kill a kid who threatened the world...Rick mentions it might be because this time it's a skrull he is battling, and he is a Kree and they don't get along very well.
    Moondragon and Surfer race to the battle, Surfer tells Moondragon what had happened to Galactus, and that Surfer thinks that Kelly might be the great evil is Kelly. When Moondragon and Surfer reach Genis, Kelly creates some more creatures and demands to be killed, "What more do you guys want, huh? I'm causing that! Me! So just polish me off!" She begs.
    Surfer charges up energy to fire, but Genis stops him knocking into him telling him not to kill her. Then Surfer explains that he was aiming for the Super Skrull coming up behind her. Rick asks if it's too late to be molecularly bonded with Nova(Haha--Funny!)
    Rick, Moondragon and Surfer begin fighting with the creatures KElly creeated, and Super Skrull kidnaps Kelly.

• Summary:

  • In an alternate universe, Captain Mar-vell stands among defeated soldiers, shouting about how Thanos is defeated, and he should come out of hiding to lose with dignity. Mar-Vell then notices something is wrong(with his cosmic awareness) and flies out of the ship towards something. Back in the regular universe, Genis is shouting at Rick who is on Silver Surfer's chest. They're discussing about Kelly, who was "defeated" last issue. They realize that the reason Rick and Genis travel into the microverse instead of the negative zone is because Kelly caused a change in the multiverse. Genis senses something, and flies off the check it out(alone). On Earth, Marlo and Lorraine and checking out their competition (Comic Book Castle) which opened up across the street. In the microverse, Rick is talking to Genis, warning him not to get too close to the unusual hole in space that he is investigating. Suddenly, Genis and Rick's connection is broken. Genis finds himself outside the ship that Mar-Vell was in. Genis has been pulled into an alternate reality. Mar-Vell attack Genism punching him. Genis is stunned, and shouts "You're Dead!" since in his reality, Mar-Vell is dead! Mar-Vell thinks he's saying this as a threat towards him, so he punches him again.Genis blasts Mar-Vell to slow him down so they can talk, but Mar-Vell shoots him back. Genis is blasted into the ship, and Mar-Vell attacks him and they fight. Mar-Vell makes a deal, he says he can switch places with Rick Jones by slamming his negabands together, and if he can't then Mar-Vell can blast him. When he slams the negabands together, nothing happens. Instead of blasting him, Mar-Vell asks for an explanation. Genis explains how Mar-Vell died in cancer in his universe. Mar-Vell asks how Genis knew he was dying from Cancer. Genis tells him it's Fatal, and he's sorry. They just stare at each other. Back on Earth, Marlo figures out how to help her business. She's going to have a super hero signing session at her comic store. Somebody watches her through an opened door. In the alternate universe, Mar-Vell and Genis talk about Genis' mother, Elysius. When Mar-Vell asks how she is, Genis lies and says she's okay(she's dead), and when Genis asks how she is in this universe, Mar-Vell lies in the same way( I think). Suddenly, Thanos shows up interrupting their conversation. However, he is not the Thanos we know, he is Magus, the evil future version of Adam Warlock. It's revealed Thanos has been stabbed, and while he is dying, he explains if the spacial rip that brought Genis here remains open, the both universes would die. Mar-Vell comes up with the idea on how to fix the rip. A blast of photon energy on both sides of the rip would seal it, and it has to be done soon. So both Mar-Vell and Genis must be separated...forever. They hug, Genis resting his head on his shoulder. Genis returns through the rip, and seals it from his side. His connection to Rick is restored and he flies down to Surfer and Moondragon, and kisses Moonie saying "Life's too short for hesitation and missed opportunities." In the alternate Universe, Captain Mar-Vell dies alone in bed. Thanos had already destroyed Mar-Vell's entire galaxy, Mar-Vell saved the rest of the universe, but no one he knew was left. Mar-Vell dies alone, instead of surrounded by those who loved him like he was in the true Marvel Universe.
    "And then...I met him...And learned that somewhere, a part of me...and of Elysius...lives on...and will remember me. No one could ask for more than that...not even a dying man named...Captain Marvel." -Mar-Vell.
