Comments: We just got our Launch certificate notifying us we had officiallylaunched as of 12/28/97! This month we had a game night were we hosted theRC who was down visiting the area. We did recruiting and fundraising withthe local theater for First Contact and Burger King. We also had a Babylon 5 gathering and a Superbowl party on the26th. Prior to those events, some ofour members and members of some of the other local sci-fi groups had a meeting about putting together ourown convention in town by sometime next year. Comments: recently signed a contract with Broward County on the Adopt AStreet project, the ships name will be placed on a road sign on a stretchof road that the crew has agreed to clean up four times a year. This is a highly visible location and good PR for the ship.
Jan 31st- The ship and crew will meet at a local theater to set up arecruitment drive for the opening of Star Wars. This has been confirmed.The Stampede, Chocolate and Challenge Of The Heart projects continue. Theoverseas coupon project also is going strong with over $5,000 in coupons now have been donated by the Triumph.
