I See You Shine...

Your clouded eyes don't see what I can see - I see you shine
my hands can touch, but they can't move the mountains in your mind
I can give you words and smiles and frowns or anything you ask - but when the time comes, I can't step inside you
and pretend to play your part

It's in their doubts that so many falter and hesitate
in that shadow of the normal self, embellished with self-hate
You don't realise when it grabs you; you just want to stay at home
shut out the light, shut out the world and stay the hell alone

and your clouded eyes don't see what I can see - I see you shine
I know the simple things elude you now, but tomorrow you will find them
and you'll do your best and learn again that your best is all it takes
then you'll forget 'til next time: you'll do it again, and raise the stakes

A delicious-vicious circle; that's all this life sentence is
Success depends on factors such as: how you dull the fizz, and how you put the spark in nothingness,
and balance yourself between the two...Remember this, in case next time,
