Cleaning The Rangefinder/Viewfinder
© refinder 12/15/2006
(1)
when the camera's top plate was removed, the two screws holding the cap of the rangefinder enclosure could then be accessed and removed.
(2)
the cap was taped to the rangefinder frame at the rear edge. with the screws taken out, it could then be flipped open from the front edge.

all lenses and mirrors were accessable for cleaning then.
WARNIG
wipe, brush, and blow whatever needs to be, but do not physically touch the halfway mirror, (the beamsplitter).

physically touching the first surface of this mirror will remove the reflective material as well as the yellow tint! i did just that, and ended up with very faint frame guide lines and yellow patch, which are now hardly yellow.

i have no idea of how to get this fixed. if you know, please email me. i'll appreciate your kind help!
