This somewhat eccentric werewolf has been teaching Potions at the university for well over half a century, and even though his Harrowing hasn't granted him immortality, his appearance curiously has not changed much. He has had white hair since he was a boy, and looks somewhere between thirty-five and fifty. His exact age is impossible to discern. He is generally approachable, fair in his grading, and level-headed in his dealings with people, often trying to steer them away from potentially destructive choices. His penchant for bone-reading is probably on the rarer side. Despite his specialty, he has never been known as a wicked individual.
When he was younger, he had a wife named Andrea Morrow who died from complications in childbirth. The baby died with her, and Aeron often frequents the graveyard, perhaps to commune with their spirits-but more likely because the presence of the dead brings him some measure of peace. Since the death of his wife, he has lived alone in their small house near the edge of town, keeping a garden and almost always accompanied by his familiar, a large, black dog. If he's not at home or in his classroom, the graveyard or library are good places to find him.

Anithen is currently courting Vivendel, a long-time friend. He is loyal to Vivendel and to the Coven.

While generally a sunny, easygoing personality, Arty has recently become more adamantly and vocally against the tournament unmated women are expected to endure at 26, arguing that the tradition is harmful, unfair and unsafe for the ladies of Howlswealde.

ASTERI

Her mother taught her the traditional art of sewing and Asteri's natural ability for patterns eventually blossomed into an ability to manipulate not only traditional fabrics but metaphysical ones like reality and space-time. Like her rank, she also enjoys seeing all sides to a situation and will tend to pull apart the stitching of a shoddy argument. Her mother ran off with another former Coven member when Audrey was a teenager, and no one's heard from either of them since. Some say her father died of a broken heart, but it was never confirmed. Smokes handrolled cigarettes and drinks too much, and spends almost too much time in her workshop. She was born a wolf rather than was turned into one. Owns a cat named Cat.

However, sometimes this means binding spells from pranksters (So many remember the exploding eggs incident in the Banquet Hall!). He works closely with his brother, Leonardo. In his spare time, Caligo is a cheese connoisseur and tiromancer. His Past in and out of Howlswealde is made up of various love interests that just never worked out, for one reason or another. However, he is not sour with those women in his past and still thinks fondly of them as friends - choosing to learn and grow from heartbreak. He is a resident nice guy and is always willing to lend a helping hand. Caligo lives in the Howlswealde apartments with his Familiar Felicity, a Skunk whose glands have been bound by his magic (She can only use them in moments of true danger, so Howlswealde is safe from random stink bombs).

CELENE

Immediate Family: Celene's family wasn't the greatest, but one day they disappeared and no one knows what happened to them.
Things People Would Know About Him: Celene was born male and was immediately unique upon birth. Despite his parents looking like most others in the Morrow line (brown hair, pale skin, yellow eyes), Celene came out with pitch black skin and equally dark eyes. It is because of his unique coloration that his parents weren't the best to him, and that only intensified when he turned thirteen and it became known he was a morphie, a person capable of being male or female or everything in-between.
Celene is typically a warm person, but he prefers to keep to himself most of the time. As the Recluse, it makes sense that needing his own space is vital to his well being and the stability of his magic. He has a very short list of people that have access to him whenever they like, but he is content enough to stay at home to read or entertain his pygmy drake.
He's never taken a lover for a long period of time, preferring to have the occasional one night stand, usually with someone he is personally comfortable with rather than an outsider.
It's generally well-known that he prefers to stay in a feminine body save for his pelvic area, if you catch my drift.

CHADWICK

Chadwick - call-me-Chaz-though-I-don't-know-which-is-worse - Blakesley is one dapper son of a witch. He wont walk out of the house looking less than his best and he's always ready to crank up the charm with one of his devilishly handsome smiles and well-placed flattery. Though, all charm aside, Chaz has been a resident of Howlswealde for decades at this point and is well known for congeniality though, perhaps more importantly, his healing abilities. He is capable of manipulating his skills traditionally and magically though sometimes at a cost to himself.
Though, while all this is well in good, the most important thing to know about Chaz is his cat, Fluffy. The man. Loves. His. Cat. Well, familiar. Fluffy is a rather impressive maine coon of the fluffiest variety and tends to stalk about around Chaz, hardly giving him a moment's peace, which the man doesn't mind at all despite their sometimes volatile rapport.

Chaucer is very into poetry and the written word, so they are often sitting down to read or write when not taken up with a lover.

CILIVREN

Cilivren owns The Enchanter's Chalice, the place where people go to drink and be merry. She operates her own distillery somewhere in Howlswealde where she makes custom meads.
Cilivren is very quiet and shy, but she is Harrowed in Courage because she's saved a few lives in her time. What she lacks in social skills, she makes up for in the ability to save others in bad situations at a moment's notice.
She is one of the Harrowed that is immortal.
She never boasts about her accomplishments, and she is rarely ever even seen outside of The Chalice.
She had a tournament years ago when it was time, and she had a mate for awhile (Cavry). The more time he spent with her, the less he spent with anyone else. When things broke off after a few years, Cavry said that being with Cilivren was like being mated with the void. She was all-consuming and being near her created an emptiness not easily purged. He decided to leave the Coven entirely following the end of their relationship. No one heard from him for a long time, until it eventually became known that he lost his mind and is now living in an insane asylum overseas.

Donal was raised by his paternal Grandfather, a hard and unyielding man named Coehn, who preferred to live on the outskirts of Howlswealde and have limited contact with the Coven.
Things People Would Know about Him:
Donal was always a rascal and a troublemaker, even as a child. He was a terrible student, but fascinated by secrets and esoteric (but true!) lore. Donal, it would later come out, would use his innate powers to access books in the restricted section of the library and read them, which is mostly how he came about his deep and often times unnervingly thorough knowledge of Coven matters, lore, and history - a story he loves to tell his class every year. Donal is genial and helpful to a fault, and often makes the most awful puns. His best friend and Bro, is Bran.
Other: Donal is wily and secretive, but gregarious in outward appearance, causing many to think that he's somehow soft-headed or far too much of a goof to be a professor. This impression extends to many thinking that he's less than honest, and either hiding something or somehow conning them.

EATHELIN

Familiar: A tiger muskie named Mallya.

Things People Would Know about Her: Eathelin is a mermaid that was turned into a werewolf. She lives in Lake Sage, and can only walk on land in her wolf form.
She is introverted as a mermaid, but still has a knack for humor if she is comfortable with you.
When Eathelin is in her wolf form, she is easily excitable and playful. Something about her wolf makes her much happier. In the warmer months, she loves tickling the feet of howlers in her lake while they swim.
Other: Eathelin was originally from the lake in Calenwood Forest, but a Morrow werewolf offered to bite her and bring her to Howlswealde so that she'd have her own lake. The only stipulation was she had to become his mate. They were happy for awhile, but he died in a freak accident while building what would later become the bed and breakfast. She hasn't taken a mate since.

EILIS

Eilis is...odd. While having not been a resident of Howlswealde until recently she is still referred to as such, but the more perceptive might be more inclined to call her 'fae-touched.' Often times the blonde, a peculiarity in and of itself, can be seen mumbling to herself, or speaking to things that are presumably not there. Harrowed with gifts of foresight she has an affinity for reflective surfaces and her dreams can be prophetic in nature if you can carve a logical train of thought from her. Rumor has it her mother took a fey to her bed, conceiving Eilis, and the poor girl is perpetually in two worlds simultaneously; seeing both the astral plane and the present overlapping.
She's typically never without her familiar, a hulking white dog that resembled a fluffy lion more than a canine, named Llew.

ELAINE
Full Name: Elaine Madeline Morrow

Familiar: A bulldog named Stout.
Specialty Magic: She is able to follow and create rituals to perform various tasks. Her ability to do so means that she can dabble in a little of everything with the right preparations.

Elaine gets around. She's a promiscuous woman, but she can also be selective at times. She is equal opportunity as far as sexuality goes, and she has no shame whatsoever about who she is seeing or sleeping with.
Elaine is very open-minded about a lot of things, and once she becomes passionate about something, she will easily lend her voice to the cause.
She has a love of travel, and while she was overseas, she managed to charm the Emperor of Rajan and was his lover for a time. She also learned how to clear her mind effectively from a priestess of purple dragons while there.
Elaine has five pen pals from all over that she writes to very often, mostly living out on the various islands.

EPONINE
Full Name: Eponine Rainbow Michaels.

Things People Would Know About Her: Eponine was something of a miracle baby for her parents. After the birth of their first child, they tried for years to conceive to no avail. After multiple miscarriages they'd given up, and then suddenly there came Eponine, their Rainbow Baby. By the time that she came along, her oldest sister was already old enough to have a mate and a pup of her own. When Eponine was only 5 or 6 years old, she was on vacation with her parents on the coast when a freak storm struck and both of her parents were lost. As a result, she was raised by her older sister and sees her as a mother figure.
She is young, yet, and hasn't figured out what sort of magic she's best at. It is obvious, however, that she shows no proficiency for Charms, Illusions or Elemental Magics so far.
She is constantly doodling designs on herself with a magical quill from her hair, and seems to favor line designs and runes and words.
She is currently a student at the University, with her classes paid for by her sister.
Other: She stays away from water, and some say that she's terrified of it ever since the freak accident that killed her parents. Unbeknownst to him, she has been loudly defending Winston Weetop to all the bullies, giving them a piece of her mind ... and also a few mischievious spells meant to stain fingers or temporarily pox their faces.

ETHETE
Full Name: Ethete Soara Ravenpaw.
Rank: Howler.
Specialty Magic: Manipulation of Metal/Battle Magic.

Immediate Family: NPC Deceased Dad (Yarrow).
Things People Would Know about Her:
Ethete has a short fuse. It doesn't take much to anger her, and she often acts on her anger. She can be mean and has a cruel streak, but if she likes you, she'll easily fight in your corner for almost any cause.
Ethete's father's specialty was blood magic, often of the dark persuasion. As such, she grew up in a house with a lot of negative energy, which is part of the reason her temperament isn't the best today. She does meditate a lot to try and balance herself out, but it's hard to purge all of the darkness in herself. Her father was also abusive and beat her a lot, which is why she started training in battle magic as soon as she could for self-defense.
Ethete, once she passed her battle magic courses at the University, challenged her father to a death duel, and he accepted. She wound up casting a spell that eroded his body in layers, killing him in the Howlswealde arena. Some people are put off by this, but it is common knowledge that her father tormented her as a kid, so others just figure it to be justice.
She is an adept hunter, and usually collects rare spell reagents for people in town as a job. Things that cannot be easily attained or grown. It makes her a valuable asset to those whose spellwork requires the use of ingredients instead of just incantations or energy work.
Ethete works hard, but often sells herself short in an endeavor to get her hands on coin. She goes above and beyond often for pocket change.
Other: When Ethete's father died, it was discovered that he planted a clause in his will that stated it was against his wishes for Ethete to inherit anything of his. The will was written with a binding on it, so that it had to be honored, and as such, Ethete became homeless overnight. She can often be seen hunkered down in an alleyway at various times of the night, trying to sleep with a busted blanket and a small pillow.
It is rumored that when she has trouble scavenging for spell reagents, that she sometimes sleeps with people for money, but always outside of Howlswealde. Very few people should know this, however.
Few people even bother with her either, because she can be unpleasant and/or headstrong. So people tend to keep their doors locked if she wanders down the street looking for a place to crash.

EVIKE
Full Name: Evike Artemis Harrison.

She's mischievous and quick-thinking, and she wasn't born a werewolf. She was turned by Ingvar, though everyone helped take care of her.
She goes by Eve for short.
She likes to drink and party, but she is also caring and nurturing. She's both fun and a comfort to her friends.
Evike had a mate once, another werewolf in the Coven. Her mate was female and she disappeared one day, never to be seen again. She is presumed dead as Evike's mating ritual rune disappeared a few days after her mate went missing.

Indigo has always been shy and a little nerdy, though sharply dressed. It was rumored that he was gay, but given how in the closet he was, it wasn't confirmed until Sayre took him as his mate
Indigo was in Tiassale when the gender swap rp went down, turning him into a woman. He was missing from November to May as a result, as he was scared to return home. When (s)he got home, Sayre confessed his feelings and the two became mates.
Indigo loves to read, and can often be seen in the Castle Library, perusing the shelves for non-fiction works.
(S)he has worked with Sayre for years at The Howler's Herbs as an apprentice apothecary, which is how they met.

Ivylee mostly keeps to herself, and is the result of a one-night stand between her parents. Persephone eventually managed to track Nathanael down and tell him about Ivylee's existence, and he has been a good, though firm, parent to her.
Ivylee works at The Wolves' Den Restaurant as a cook, part-time. The rest of the time, she can usually be found in the Castle Library, reading up on various topics as well as enjoying the occasional fictional tale.
She's never been seen with anyone romantically, but she is okay with that. Her focus is mainly on learning than being someone's significant other.

What's there to say about Kali? This charismatic demon-turned-werewolf was summoned no less than two-hundred years ago by the summoning master at the time, who was master no more after that encounter. His death was (mostly) an accident, and finding herself in interesting, knowledgeable company, Kali decided to stick around. Eventually she underwent the ritual to turn her human form into a werewolf. For the most part, she has remained in Howlswealde, but does take the occasional sabbatical.
Kali is most often, and most happy, when surrounded by other people. She has never been long without the company of lovers or friends, but has never mated. Some of those relationships have been long-term, but no one has been able to put a ring on it. Whether she has commitment issues or this is just a facet of her demonic nature peeking through, one can't be sure. She can most often be found out in the world or in her classroom.

Meora is a young, fairly peppy individual who is always willing to make new friends. Her belief in the abstract (like the moon potentially being made of cheese) is fairly well-known.
Meora arrived in Howlswealde at the age of twelve, brought by her great aunt Peggy (her father's aunt) to live with her grandmother Irene, who ran the Cauldron's Brew. This was almost approximately fifteen years after the mysterious departure of her mother, Paige, whom it was rumored was fleeing a terribly abusive tournament-mating. There is some proof of this in the woman's last letter left to her family-he's never going to let me go. It proved to be true, because the man she was married to left Howlswealde shortly after and neither returned. Paige's whereabouts became apparent years later-she'd died nine years before in a house fire, along with her new mate and younger daughter. The blaze left behind only one survivor, three-year-old Meora, who was found unscathed in the ruins of her family's home. The little girl was passed from relative to relative until her powers manifested again in such a way that the villagers were frightened. Then she was sent to Howlswealde.
Initially shy, she struggled a lot in school, especially with the more theoretical aspects of magic. While she had no trouble channeling her powers, controlling such a capricious energy proved difficult and dangerous. She attended university for several years longer than the norm and was believed to be either stupid or lazy by most of her professors for her scholarly trouble and difficulty with reading and comprehension. They probably kept her because she was powerful, kept trying, and was the last surviving member of an old family.
There was an incident when she was in school at the arena, involving her and a currently NPC other student. Forced to duel for the sake of passing Battle Magic, she ended up having a panic attack in the ring and burning everything and everyone her magic could reach-including the wards around the arena, some of which were destroyed, and her opponent, who nearly died. Since then she has refused stubbornly to embrace any sort of combat, and her deep aversion to violence is well-known.

Minka was granted an exemption from her tournament at twenty-six, because she is Howlswealde's go-to for love and other associated magicks. She's considered their love guru, and the Trine at the time thought it would be counterproductive to put her hand up in a tournament when she is a believer in soulmates and has matched up so many happy couples already.
Minka was painfully rejected by her own soulmate (Bahram) when she told him her feelings at the age of sixteen. Back then, she was pretty, but just barely. It was a very harsh, very public rejection in front of a lot of people, and it was likely talked about for months following the incident. This triggered her love abilities and she has endeavored to turn her misfortune into positives for other people.
She has a few lovers here and there, but refuses to take a mate because she believes that mating should be for soulmates only. Given that Bahram rejected her fourteen years ago, she prefers to be alone with occasional, casual sex with people she trusts. They have to earn being a notch on her bedpost though.

Most say it is because she can master many magicks, while others say there may be a more sinister reason.
She hates having her name shortened, as she finds it to be a slight to her station, preferring lady, sovereign, or just Olivienne.
She is never seen in wolf form, strangely enough. And on the night of the full moon, you cannot find her at all unless you know where to look.
She has never taken a mate or had children.
She occasionally likes to stir up mischief.
Though the Sovereign position makes her immune to the rules, she still follows them to the letter. The only time she has granted herself immunity in 250 years as Sovereign was when it was time for her tournament.

Orsen is blunt in his speaking and uses very few words, though he is smarter than people give him credit for. A miner who scavenges for ore and crystals, he mostly throws himself into work. The werewolf also does odd jobs around the town, building and fixing things for residents. He was placed in charge of building and maintaining clinic grounds, ensuring the success of its opening (You can say your alt helped with building, if you want! :D). He is never seen buying fresh ingredients from the market, as he survives off of food from The Wolves Den. Quiet and keeping to himself, he is referred to as the loner and perhaps seems a tad intimidating, if not difficult to get to know. His Familiar is a Bird Wing Butterfly named Polly.

Pandelis is 18 (as of 2017) and she is adopted.
Lee is also an avid reader, and she can usually be seen by Lake Sage with a book and a few furry friends. Some tease her and say that the whole forest serves as her familiar, but she just smiles.

Things People Would Know about Her: Next to nothing. A lot of people don't even know she exists because she has been a shut in for over two centuries due to her powers being unmanageable. The slightest touch hurts her, the sun burns her, her hearing is so sharp that it hurts her to hear even the softest of sounds, etc. The few that do know about her likely only do because they help her do things, like bring her food and supplies. If you would like for your character to be one of the few people to know of Rumi's existence, drop her a MUDmail.

This elusive werewolf can often be seen out in the woods alone when she isn't fulfilling her duties as a healer at the clinic. Some believe her to be frigid or cold, because she tends to keep people at a distance and lives alone. She is somewhere between one-hundred and two-hundred years old, and was an only child. Her parents have since died off, leaving her alone to commune with their spirits and the creatures of the various other planes. Her elemental powers are tied to spirituality, and she has traveled extensively to further explore these powers with more shamanistic cultures.
She is very anti-mating. Whether this is because she believes virginity makes her more spiritually attuned or because she hasn't met the right mate yet, her refusal outright to marry has occasionally brought up questions. This was most notably when she was 26 and it was time for her tournament. Her wishes were clear enough that no men participated, and she has lived ever since out in the forest, without family, and with only her spirit owl familiar for company.

He has made up and mastered the art of bottling incantations for convenience and time constraints. In a battle and need to summon a tornado? Shade made a bottle for that. Need your house cleaned from top to bottom before the guests arrive? Shade made a bottle for that. He lives in the Howlswealde apartments and is often up late spell bottling, or into the early morning depending on certain spells.
Shade often hangs out at the Pendulis arena where he hones his melee skills and seeks to coax various people into spars.
Shade's parents had beef with Chadwick and Chaucer's parents. So in retaliation to some earlier altercation, they gifted their son with the same names they had chosen for theirs. This only served to fuel the fire between their families. As a result, Shade is not very happy with his parents, but it is what it is. May his parents rest in peace.
Other: There's been talk about the giant dragon hanging outside of the apartments. Apparently Shade's new beau is a Cavalier of Victoria. The dragon's name is Goldberry. She's very nice.

SIRENEL

Tatiyana joined the coven years ago, but wasn't a wolf that mated in. She joined through the University when it was being built, and she became a werewolf and gradually worked her way into joining.
She can be quiet unless she knows you really well, but once she is friends with you, she has a nice sense of humor.
Tatiyana has never had a mate, but she has had many long relationships over the years. She has been proposed to before, but she has yet to say yes to any suitor.
She sometimes works at Rent-A-Witch, but usually just works out of her home with chi/reiki work.

VALEENA
Full Name: Valeena Iolani Mistos.
Rank: Elite - The Songbird.
Specialty Magic: Charms. She is especially adept at countering curses and hexes with her charms. Additionally, because she is light-hearted in nature, she often uses her magic to make others smile.
Other Magic: Enchantment, Transmutation.
Immediate Family: All but her sister Vivendel has passed away.
Things People Would Know about Her:
She is the Professor of Charms at the University. Her students will find that while she expects a great deal out of them - she is easygoing and kind.
She is something of an open book, wearing her heart on her sleeve and easy to read.
Because she specializes in counter-curses and breaking hexes, she is particularly skilled at defensive magics but is not exceptionally adept at offensive magics. It is because of this that she is known for not having done terribly well in Battle Magic class at school, as she prefers to defend rather than attack. As a result, she has become very good at recognizing what spells are being cast in the process of their casting - allowing her to defend herself and others with ease.
With a unique blend of charms, enchantment and transmutation she has perfected her ability to bring objects to life for entertainment purposes. Feel free to say that your character say or interacted with something around town that she'd animated and brought to life for a time! Just keep in mind that all of her objects are harmless and are meant only as entertainment, they would never cause damage to anything around them - or anyone!
Incredibly friendly - she knows just about everyone in town and makes a point to greet everyone with a smile.
She is a well-known animal lover and is guilty of offering treats to just about every animal that she happens across. If your witch has a familiar, feel free to say that Valeena has recently given them treats because chances are she has!
Her familiar is a wee baby ring-tailed lemur who goes by the name of Julian. He can often be found on her neck and shoulders, hidden beneath her hair. When he is happy and affectionate, he purrs like a kitten and peers out with his wide dark eyes at their surroundings. He has been young for a long while, and it's perhaps speculated that he is aging much slower than normal for whatever reason.
Other: Valeena is currently actively working to make a charm for everybody in the Coven. Whether it be a Charm for their person or a Charm for their home or business - she is working to create something that is specific for everyone. She will be seeking each and every one of you out individually in order to determine what Charm would work best for you, so feel free to have an idea in mind ahead of time!

VIVENDEL
Full Name: Vivendel Caralee Mistos.

Familiar: Her familiar is a capybara named Prince Lucky, or Lucky for short. If you cross him, she will cross you.
Specialty Magic: Change. She can turn something into something completely different, or changes some things in a situation to better suit her needs or the needs of others. Her powers are at their peak on each full moon, where she can sometimes even change people's races. She's been known to do this for shifters that want to join in the past, turning them into werewolves instead of what they were prior.
Other Magic: Empathy, Battle Magic.
Immediate Family: None remain except her sister Valeena.
Things People Would Know about Her:
Vivendel has been crazy in love with Anithen for years, who was entirely oblivious until recently. They now live together, but are not mates quite yet.
Vivendel went on sabbatical instead of going through with a tournament because she was determined to never take a mate unless it was Ani. Some think this was obsessive, others found it charming. It should be clear that she wasn't a creeper about it. It was more like she secretly pined but didn't act on her feelings.
Vivendel is good at battle magic, though it isn't her specialty. She used to be the Professor of Battle Magic back in the University's early days, teaching Blaise (the current professor) almost everything he knows.
She works at Rent-a-Witch, Anithen's shop where you can rent a witch for various magical services and trinkets.
She is kind, quirky, funny, and fairly tall. She's a full-figured amazon sort, which is hilarious considering she is easily twice Anithen's size.

Full Name: Winston "Winn" Reginald Weetop

Things People Would Know About Him: Winston Is a rather hopeless case. Howlswealde's resident loser, as some bullies tend to call him. He has not managed to find his specialty as of yet and struggles to do well in any sort of magical skill set. But he tries, bless him! Winston signs up for each and every class at Howlswealde University, whatever he can fit into his schedule in the mission to find a magic he succeeds at.
Winston's father mated into The Morrow Coven, along with his uncle. However, he was left to live with his uncle after his mother fell ill and passed, then his father was involved in an awful accident. After the death of his uncle, Winston was left a large sum of money with which to survive on. He is a modest fellow who chose to live in The Howlswealde Apartments, instead of a large home by himself. The funds are instead used to pay for all of the classes he takes. The Howler enjoys reading, and uses all of his spare time in the quest for knowledge and magical enlightenment. Despite all of the heartbreak and misfortune surrounding his family, he has never become bitter in any way - he treats all that he meets with kindness. This is a modest and humble Howler.
