Sangeetha Kala Acharya TS Parthasarathy was associated with Karnatic Music and Dance for over 7 decades. Before his demise at the ripe age of 93, he was able to add one more contribution to the world of music by reviewing the book of compositions by Vinjamuri - "Sangeetha Vahini Vol II" and writing the following letter of his appreciation to Vinjamuri's son Govindarajan, IAS. He not only praised the publication but also expressed his admiration for the great qualities of Vinjamuri as a person, as a musician and as a composer.

Here are some highlights from his letter:

“He was a soft-spoken and affectionate person who shunned publicity and exhibitionism. Otherwise, he would have been selected as a Sangeetha Kalanidhi.”

“He was the pioneer in setting to music the songs of Annamacharya.  But this fact is hardly known outside.”
