Cabales Serrada Escrima

Hello, my name is Vincent Angel Cabales Jr. I started training in my Grandfather Angel Cabales' Filipino Martial Art known as Serrada Escrima, when I was only six years old.

In 1966 my Grandfather Grandmaster Angel Cabales began teaching his system of Escrima publicly becoming refered to as the Father of Escrima in America. In 1968 he began reffering to his system of Escrima as 'Serrada which means 'to close or to close the distance between you and your opponent.Many people have had the privilage to learn from my Grandfather. People like Guro Danny Inosanto, who helped Bruce Lee to develope Jeet Kune Do the Philosophy of the Intercepting Fist.; Serrada gave them the foundation for Filipino Martial Arts.in JKD.
Danny had parts in movies with Bruce Lee, and Steven Seagual and others.
My Grandpa himself had a part as a trainer in a movie with Leo Fong -Enforcer From Death Row.

In 1991 my Grandfather was inducted into The Black Belt Martial Arts Hall of Fame As Intructor of The Year
