Nanded is wellkown as a Sikh pilgrimage center.There are several explanations for Origin of name Nanded.Towns existance might be from stone age.It was ruled by Satwahnas,Rashtrakutas,Chalkyas,Yadavs of Deogiri,Bahamanis,Nizamshahi,Moghals,Nizam of Hyderabad,and Britishers..
It was Swami Ramanand Teerth who lead a movement of Its liberation from Nizams Rule and assimilation into the democratic Republic of India
Nanded is also known for its education institutions like Swami Ramanand Teerth University.It has small industrial area and Nanded district is known as cotton growing district.
I am born and broughtup in Nanded a town city from Marathwada Region of Maharashtra,India.

I completed My graduation and post graduation in Commerce from Peoples College Nanded. This is one of the oldest college in Nanded. Peoples College is wellknown because of its founder member Swami Ramanand Teerth,who was also a freedom fighter.Besides Late Shri Narhar Kurundkar was a well known critique and was principal of Peoples College.
When I graduated Mrs.Tarabai Paranjape was princpal and Mr Yeotikar,Mr.Jayant Joshi,Mr Dilip Gogate Mr.Rode were few of distignushed professors to whom I still remember.

I studied in a school named 'Pratibha Niiketan'Highschool',holi,Nanded. Mr. Khodave Guruji was our head master when I was in primary school.In Highschool Mr. Shastri was our head master.
