Who is the idiot behind the pages?

Well, that would be me. Like most adult modelers, I started building models when I was a child. As my skills improved I started going to shows and eventually I started entering them.

After going to more shows that I care to think about, I was told by my then girlfriend that I was taking my model building way too seriously. I hate to admit it but she was right.
I sat down after we talked about it and I realized that I had started becoming obsessed with making the models into show winners.

I had lost my love of building and actually started hating to even look at my work bench. That's when I knew I was burning out and had to stop building for a while or I would never enjoy the hobby ever again. I gave away almost all my completed models that I had built for the shows and boxed everything else up.

After taking a break for far too many years, I dug out the old models I had in the attic and I'm back to building once more. I did learn one thing from my self imposed exile though, I now build when I want to and only for my own enjoyment.

I no longer build models for a contest or a show, and rarely enter anything I build in one. If other people find my models enjoyable to look at, I'm happy. If not, it doesn't bother me because I'm not building to compete with anyone and I enjoyed building it.

If you see anything on any of my pages that you want to know more about, feel free to e-mail me and I'll try my best to answer your question.
