In a 1918 list for people accessed for poll taxes, Nicholas Cresta was listed as living at 21 Pleasant Rd., occupation, army.  It is unknown if he served in World War I.  He later moved to New York, where he met and married Mae L. Cresta. Nicholas attended Stamford University, being put through college by his older brother Lewis.
