From "A History of Randolph Township" by
Richard H. Irwin
George Chrystal Lamson, the son of Charles and Nancy, married
Mary Briant Trowbridge at Mount Freedom, Randolph Township, New
Jersey. Rev. Robert S. Feagles of the Mt. Freedom Presbyterian
Church performed the ceremony. They lived in the Dover and
Randolph Township area until March, 1878, when they moved to
Kansas, where they settled in the town of Lindsey on a farm.
George and Mary took two of their children, Daniel, a baby of six
months,
and Benny, who was one year and six months with them. The oldest
child, Olive, was left with her grandmother and grandfather
[Charles Jackson] Lamson until she was 19 years old, and then
went west with her father and brother Edward, who had come back
to Randolph Township for a visit. In 1902, George and his family
moved from Kansas to Cushing, Oklahoma, where they settled
permanently.
