The markets under review, with a few exceptions, continue depressed, and trade is of the dullest, almost everything favoring the buyer. Building material of all decriptions is being sold now at such low prices that we doubt very much if an opportunity to buy so cheaply will again be afforded, except under similar circumstance of trade, or of a profusion of prosperity. For the latter there is little chance, and for the former alternative it is scarcely to be supposed that it will recur very soon again. The weakness that we have noted of late in several of the markets has extended to others, while some few show a little improvement.
In the lumber market we have no improvement to report, trade continuing so dull as to require concessions to the extent of weakening prices.
