Francis Hall

(1960 - 2000)



Born March 3, 1960 in Fort Gordon, Georgia, died from an accidental fall in the early hours of Saturday morning, April 29th. The son of Col. (US Army retired deceased) and Mrs. Alvin O. Hall, Jr., Francis lived the nomadic life a military family including postings in Georgia, North Carolina, California, Washington D.C., Germany, Korea, and Texas. Francis graduated in 1978 from Seoul American High School in Korea, and attended college at The University of Texas at El Paso. A talented and creative artist who was well known in the Seattle creative commune, the kite community, and the Mail Art community, Francis was an award-winning published photographer and custom kite maker. Francis greatly enjoyed his work at Alternare of Washington, where he was the office manager and customer service director. Francis is survived by his mother, Joan F. Hall of San Antonio, Texas, by his sister, Jean Anne Booth of Austin, Texas, by his beloved cat, Stormy, his aunt and uncle Jean and Jack Bowles of Augusta, Georgia, and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss their Pied Piper.
