[See Newbeats below.] NOTE 2:"Who is "Benninghoff" co-writer on "Bring Back The Good Times"? - He was a guy named R. J. Benninghoff* , and yes, he did co-write that song with Dan. R. J. was a student at Vanderbilt University at the time, and he and Dan crossed paths and wrote that song. He (RJB) was on a one-song contract deal with the publisher. Dan says he was a nice guy, quiet.. and he never saw him again. Dan also said that he is pretty sure that either Larry Henley - solo, or with the Newbeats -recorded this song. At that time, the Newbeats consisted of Larry Henley, plus Dean and Mark Mathis, along with Larry Parks and Jay Turnbow. Jay Turnbow was a drummer from Midland, who wrote "Bread and Butter", and who was a pal of Joe Melson's. *[Robert James Benninghoff - Member of Berkeley Kites, Benninghoff's Bad Rock Blues Band .
