"Battle of the Bulge"
. This massive German counter-offensive had been launched at a time
when bad weather was expected to prevent the Allies from exploiting their
air superiority.

: "The weather at last improved and allowed Bomber Command to intervene
in the Ardennes battle. ...all the bomber groups ...attacked German troop
positions near St.Vith. ... The bombing appeared to be concentrated and accurate."

"Pred. Flak" = predicted flak. Allied term for German
radar controlled anti-aircraft guns. Much more accurate than regular
AA.
