31024. John KEY

Dr. Gene Key states that there is some confusion about the parents of the
children of Edmund and John. It seems that Mary is assigned to Edmund by
all thesources I've found. The other known children are assigned to
John. Accordingto Dr. Key "None of the children except Mary and John Jr.
are shown as having descendants in this work, therefore the matter of
which children belonged to which brother does not impact on the contents
herein. The children have been diligently researched with no success at
this time."

John and Edmund were granted land in Charles City County, VA when they
arrived in America. The existing measure was 50 acres per person,
including children. The granted land on the south side of the James
River, that area later became Prince George's County. That area later
become Prince
George's county. Mary, daughter of Edmund, married John Waller III in
England and immigrated to America around the same time as John Key. They
and their descendents lived alongside John's descendents for three
generations along the Mataponie River in New Kent County, later King
William County and ultimately Spotsylvania County
