� � � �Hotaru appears in SM S with a rather interesting story. She is the daughter of Professor Tomoe, a villain in SM S. She is very weak and is taken over by Mistress Nine when she eats Chibi Usa's heart Crystal. She then turns into Saturn and then is purified by Sailor Moon into baby Hotaru.
� � � �Hotaru is very weak and often tires out. She is very shy and doesn't have many friends. She has a healing ability which other children think is weird and tend to stay away from her. She befriends Chibi Usa and really appreciates their friendship. Hotaru almost died along with her mother when she was younger but was saved when her father asked Pharoh Ninety for help. Thus causing Professor Tomoe to be evil. She recalls her father and Chibi Usa when she gets Mistress Nine out of her body.
� � � �As Sailor Saturn she is very strong. She is the one that can bring about what Neptune and Uranus couldn't stop talking about during SM S, the silence. She can destroy the earth with one whip of the glaive and is therefore called the Silent Messiah. Most of her attacks are really only used in desperate situations, and hardly carried out, because they would kill her too. But she still proves very useful in a fight.
� � � �Saturn is rarely seen, but part of it is because she is a baby after she gets purified. She starts to rapidly grow in SM Stars and is awakened as Sailor Saturn again with all her memories.
� � � �She doesn't really have a love life. Considering she's never around she doesn't really have time for one. At first she has enough trouble making friends, then she's a baby.
� � � �In the manga she is part cyborg. She is kind of a senshi all in her own . . . She is normally associated as an outer senshi but technically you could say she really isn't, especially in the manga. (Pluto, Neptune and Uranus are the true outer senshi, but it depends on who you ask). �In any case, she is very powerful and seems to know a lot more about crisises before they come then most of the other senshi.
