`:.The Dolphin.:`

Living in the shade
Of the ocean floor,
Lived a graceful dolphin named Jade,
And her younger sisters of four.

They swam around all day long.
They leapt and played,
Playing happily in the royal area,
In the bright, rainbow colored coral.

Swimming without a care,
They got caught in a net, and got a great scare.
The fishermen were nice, though, And threw them back in,
Because they did not eat mammals that could swim.

`:.Pat & Sally.:`

There once was a calico cat,
Her name was Pat.
She lived in a dark, dingy alley,
With a Golden Retriever named Sally.

Everday, they went to the beautiful park,
Pat would meow, and Sally would bark.
This was their method of begging for food,
But it put most people in a bad mood.

One day, a man told them to quit making a clamor,
Or he would take to them with a hammer.
That was the last time they were seen in the park,
And now they quietly search for food in the dark.

`:.The Lion & Its Prey.:`

Strolling under the moon-lit sky,
Are the lion, and her three newborn kits.
After prowling for food to feed her litter by,
She finds a tree, and there she sits.

Just for a moment, to take a short brake,
She lies her head down in the soft, dewy grass.
After awhile she gets up and strolls to the lake,
To take a chance on catching a bass.

In the blink of an eye, like a flash of light,
She strikes at the fish, and flings it ashore.
Flipping and jumping with all its might,
The fish struggled to lose the pain it bore.

Yet, the lion gently picks up her prey,
Bringing it safely home to her den.
Then the fish lay still, for it had to stay.
The fish had died, in only minutes of ten.
