Movies I've Seen
On September 11th, 1995 (no pun intended, it's sort of scarry how this worked out...) I saved the first movie stub from a movie that I saw. The movie I had gone to see was Mortal Kombat, in the movie theaters, and from that date on, I saved EVERY movie ticket from EVERY movie that I saw to date! Isn't that crazy?! I thought that was neat so I dug out my old wallet (a blue velcro one that has Mikey Mouse's face on it) and I found all the movie ticket stubs. So, I decided to list them all here, tell you who I saw it with, and what I thought of the movie! I realize now that I've seen a LOT of movies! Are you scared yet? Well so am I! Enjoy this little blast from the past of movie history over the past 6 years.Have fun!
Mortal Kombat, I saw on September 11th, 1995 with my two good friends at the time, Eric McKeon and Min Yoon. That was back at the beginning of 6th grade so we were all really excited to see it and thought that it was pretty cool, how sad it is to ever think that this movie was cool....
Independence Day, on July 13th, 1996 with my family, my mom, dad, and brother. Ok movie, stupid to watch the dumb aliens, even dumber Will Smith.
Star Trek First Contact, on January 12th, 1997 with my brother Frank. I had never seen Star Trek before so my brother had dragged me along to see this. I liked it though, lots of people died and stuff blew up, heh cool!
Star Wars, on February 8th, 1997 with my Mom and Dad, this was my first time ever seeing it, you know how it goes with lightsabers and the force and all that.
The Empire Strikes Back on February 21st, 1997 with my good friend Shaun at his birthday party. Seeing this movie in 7th grade was crazy, we were all so loud and anyoing, we pissed off the theater packed with Star Wars dorks. That was one crazy ass party.
Return of the Jedi, on April 5th, 1997 with someone, probably more friends like Shaun or my brother, or both. Either way, this was just another one of the Star Wars movies being re-aired before the extra scenes weren't added yet. Pretty good despite the fact that it was just a selfless corporate America oiling the gears of its machinery with the blood of its workers.
Jurassic Park 2, on May 24th, 1997 with Brandon Cox. This movie kind of sucked but I went to see it with Brandon cause I saw the first one with him in theaters when we were like 8 lol. I remember he had stupid hair.
Spawn, on August 6th, 1997 with Shaun, Brandon, and Eric Chiliki since shaun had been obsessing with it for about forever, he liked the comic books. This movie was ok. Shaun was scary though.
Event Horrizon, on August 21st, 1997 with my sister Dina, her best friend Sarah Francis, and my brother. This movie was really cool, I really liked it and it was really scarry. I remember being scared and that Sarah went to the bath room and we had to explain to her what she missed which was some dude dissapearing through a wall, the audience yelled for us to shut up.
Mortal Kombat 2, on November 29th, 1997 with Eric and Min again. Oh man do I remember this movie. We realized it sucked so much compared to the last one that we knew we were growing up. It really blew, anyone that likes this movie should be shot.
Alien Ressurection, on December 26th, 1997 with my brother and my Dad. My brother was a huge fan of the Alien movies and I agree that it is one of the best horror/thriller series ever. We were excited to see this movie and it was only slightly scarry. Lots of people got ripped apart in this gross yet cool movie =)
Titanic, on January 10th, 1998 with Dan Antoline, Eric Chiliki, and Shaun along with some other people. This was for Dan's birthday and only god knowse why we chose to see this movie. Hardly a good idea for some just barely teenage boys. The theater was filled with weeping teenage and pre-teen girls, quiet a sad site, especially with our rambunctious laughing from the front row!
Deep Impact, on May 25th, 1998 with my brother and sister, this movie was ok.
The Truman Show, on June 13th, 1998 with someone, no idea who, it was boring.
X-Files, on June 19th, 1998 with Min, probably Eric too, we were long time X-Files fan and this long awaited movie was awsome. They kissed in it and it was cool.
Armageddon, on July 11th, 1998 I don't know with who but i remember this was the summer of copy cats, this and deep impact, Antz and a Bug's Life, it was annoying. Saw this twice. Crap.
Snake Eyes, on August 13th, 1998 with Eric, good movie, Nicolas Cage bla bla bla.
Star Trek Insurrection, on December 12th, 1998 with my brother, this movie was not as impressive as the last Star Trek movie but still good.
Bug's Life, on December 26th, 1998 with my sister, she thought it was cute, it was ok.
The next 2 tickets I have are the Faculty but my family really saw that while I was seeing bug's life... don't know why i kept the tickets... guess I was too young to go see that movie, supposed to be scarry.
The Matrix, on April 10th, 1999 with Eric who had already seen it and insisted that it was awsome, which it was, this movie was one of the best ever. You know that though.
Star Wars, on May 22nd, 1999 probably with my parents, the new scenes were ok.
Austin Powers 2, on June 12th, 1999 with my sister and someone else, one of her friends. My sister and I laughed our asses off, especially at the beginning and the tent scene, can't wait till the 3rd one soon.
The Mummy, on June 13th, 1999, it was ok. The Sequal was a lot better, had the Rock.
The Empire Strikes Back, on June 19th, 1999 with someone. It was good with new scenes.
The Blair Witch Project, on August 1st, 1999 with Jason Phillips, his mom, his sister Melissa, my sister, and my brother. This was when I first started really becoming friends with Jason. I remember we were both scared during this movie but him more so, he would lean over a bit on the arm rest and hide his eyes whenever it got scary lol. We wanted to puke after that dizzy camera shaking. LOL
