Pin is string instrument of Thai E-san
area. Play in Moh-lum music.
There are 3 type of Pin ,2 string, 3 string and 4 string. Its shape also difference depends on the maker. This one is the second Pin I made around july 1995 by copied it from my teacher. And in year 1998 I routed the body edge with curve bevel router bit and changed friction peg to gear tuning machine. |
- Hand chisel routed solid "Kanoon wood" for make hollow body.
- 2 mm Kanoon sound board with flower sound hole.
- Lacquer finish
- "Naka head" carved on extend head
- 17 steel medium frets (diatonic), 22" scale length.
- Over all size long 38", width 9", weight approximate 1.3 Kg.
- Strung with steel string tune low to high e a e'
- Friction peg modified to open guitar-style tuning gears.
- Fake pearl sticker on 12th fret
- Float bridge.
