On February 20th, 2001, subsequent to almost six months of getting to know each other from opposite sides of the world, and less than two weeks after we finally met and got engaged, Shobhana Johri from Lucknow and I were happily married. The wedding occurred amidst our families in India with the blessings and in the presence of our remaining grandparents.
Although most, if not all, of our friends -- half a country and half a world away, were absolutely surprised and shocked by the suddenness of this all, both Shobhana and I could not have been more sure of our decision. Our only regret has been that due to the short notice and long distances involved, many of those dear to us were unable to be with us on our special day. And yet, the love and support we have received from all of our family and friends has been astounding.
For this, we wish to share our excitement with each and every one of you.
