This page is dedicated to my favorite arcade game called Dance Dance Revolution. The entire game is based upon your ability to balance, have rhythm, and move like crazy! When you step up on the machine, you insert your coins, select your mode, and sometimes characters, depending upon which mix, then you pick your songs. As the arrows move up the screen, you move your feet to follow them. Sound simple? Well, it's not as easy as it seems. Some of my friends thought it would be really simple, so I put them on the machine and had them on paranoia rebirth, they soon found out that the game wasn't as simple as it looked.
I first got hooked on a Dance Dance Revolution 3rd mix machine, set onto 2nd mix. My friend V and I played "That's the way" and failed miserably. Then again, we had no clue what we were doing. Soon after, I became a 2nd mix master, and moved on to 3rd. Here I am, 2 years later, now able to play very few catas and I've lost some of my stamina due to the fact that I've since retired.
Some of my other friends, it didn't take them nearly as long to get that good at this "sport for gamers". Like, Casey, for example, didn't take him nearly as long to match my skill and then surpass it. Another friend of mine, Zack, is one of the best DDR players I've ever seen. Then, there are others, who struggle to play DDR 2nd mix.
So, whether you play at home, or drive to the nearest arcade, DDR is truly a game that will keep going. If you've never tried, get your but off the computer, drive to the arcade, and try it out!
