The Stars are fans of Sgt Sheelagh Murphy, played by Bernie Nolan, in the British Police Drama, The Bill. Sheelagh is Sun Hill's newest female Sgt, she replaced Craig Gilmore after he decided to leave. As you might guess by the name, Sheelagh is Irish, and has a lilting Dublin accent. Bernie herself was born in Dublin, but the family moved to Blackpool a couple of years later. Latest updates 14/09/04 - I would really appreciate any fan out there who has some html know how to take over th erunning of this site for me. I simply cannot keep running it as I no longer watch the Bill, nor do I have time for running it on top of a university degree. Please email me if you believe you could keep the site up to date. (blame my A levels and a bad back) Right, After quite a bit of thought and consideration, I've invited Alex, aka Miss Corruption to be my co-webmistress. Alex has proven herself to be very sensible, and incredibly loyal to Bernie, and she also has a working screen capping ability (unlike my other computer *thwack*) so we can have screen caps once more! Both of us will be reachable through the official email addy of the website. We have quite a few updates planned, but I'll let them suprise you... Now, I'm sure I speak for all the fans of Bernie and Sheelagh, when I say that her acting recently in the cot death/funeral storylines has been amazing. Bernie, to do what you have, and come out able to release (what I'm sure is) an excellent single, is fantastic, and I know we all deeply admire you for it. On the subject of that.. as I'm equally sure you all know, Bernie's single is due out on the 23rd of this month, and it features 3 songs - "Macushla", that she sang so well as Sheelagh, for little Niamh's funeral, "In the light of the day" by Ian Dunnett, and "To Kate" a song written by Steve, Bernie's husband, for Kate, their still born daughter. I hope you so called "Fans" of Bernie are happy with yourselves - spending all your time leaving shameful messages. You obviousley have no manners whatsoever, and I am furious at the way you treated the tag board. There was a time that I half hoped Bernie had taken a look at this site, to see the work and dedication that had been put into it. I hope to heaven she hasn't looked at it recently, because it might as well be an anti site, given what you people have been writing.
