| EPISODE 1: THE ALLIANCE * * * Berge the Ewok darted blindly through the forest, in the general direction of a vehicle that he and Super Ewok had discovered and repaired so many years ago. He knew it was around here somewhere, but where . . .? Aha! There it was! A pink shape sticking out of some bushes. That was definitely it. There was only a couple hundred feet between them now. It was so close. So close. Something popped out from behind a tree ahead of him. It was Super Ewok, his best friend! They would escape together and become business partners on some distant planet. Or better yet, they could join the Rebel Alliance and share some more adventures. Or . . . Boom. The noise came from behind. At first he thought that it was thunder, but with rising terror he realized what it really was. It was the Clown. They were discovered and the mad giant was coming their way. Boom. He was moving quickly. Berge was almost there. Super Ewok already had the vehicle's engine started. As a matter of fact, the pink ship was already moving. Berge ran faster. Boom. The Clown was almost overhead. He was yards away, feet away, inches away. He made a desperate dive for the vehicle's bumper. It all seemed to happen in slow motion. He was closer . . . closer . . . almost touching it . . . and then he missed and fell to the unforgiving ground of Endor. He looked up and saw his friend flying away to a safer place. This brought happiness to him. A final second of happiness. A giant blue hand that looked more like a mitten crashed down upon him, and Berge's smelly fur was spread across a surprisingly large area of land. The Clown watched the funny-looking pink vehicle fly off into the distance. He raised his arms and howled in rage at the one Ewok that escaped. It didn't matter. All the rest were dead. The village was no longer a lively place. Now what? he thought. Now it was time to start his campaign to take over the galaxy. He would deal with that last Ewok later. * 5 * BACK TO HOMEPAGE |
