The Simpsons
An extremely intelligent show, and I'm being serious. Most of the obscure pop-culture references, allusions, and subtle background gags are very clever and show a high degree of erudition on the writers' parts. The people who don't enjoy THE SIMPSONS are usually just not bright enough to get the humor. MATT GROENING is the creative genius behind the show (and was the voice of Maggie on one episode). Says Groening, "The Simpsons is a show that rewards paying attention." He also plays with the band THE ROCK BOTTOM REMAINDERS.
