HOW DOES EACH ALBUM DIFFER FROM THE OTHER? favourite is oceans of venus as it sounds on cd the way it sounds in our heads. hymns is cute but rushed. oceans is the true sound of rachel stamp while hymns had too many distractions from people who didn't know how to make records and wouldn't listen to those who did. YOU WILL BE RELEASING A NEW VERSION OF OCEANS OF VENUS FOR THE AMERICAN FANS. HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM THE UK VERSION? adds my sweet rose and heroine and new recording of do me in once and i'll be sad, do me in twice and i'll know better and new cover WILL THE UK FANS BE ABLE TO BUY IT? free trade HAVE YOU GOT ANY PLANS TO RELEASE A NEW SINGLE OR ALBUM HERE LATER IN THE YEAR? Possibly WHAT IS THE MEANING OF LIFE? freedom and the struggle to achieve it RACHEL STAMP HAVE A VERY LOYAL AND DEDICATED FANBASE. HOW MUCH DO YOUR FANS MEAN TO YOU? they mean a lot but we have a real relationship with them and they often get pissed off at us and moan about the way we change all the time but i see this as an adventure and a journey, not as a service where we just do what they want... we don't give the fans what they want we give them what thay need...we're not interested in repeating ourselves... YOU SEEM TO BE A VERY UNDERGROUND BAND. YOU GET LITTLE PRESS COVERAGE ETC. DOES THAT BOTHER YOU OR DO YOU PREFER IT THAT WAY? EXPLAIN YOUR ANSWER. well the press in the uk is very fickle and often the amount of press bands get is in direct proportion to how much their record label spends on advertising in the magazines the bands appear in. we think it's a shame that even 5 years ago the melody maker had a sense of pride about being a reliable source of good journalism but there aren't any magazines that offer anything in the way of good writing anymore. the best thing about kerrang is that u can pick it up in tower records and read it in 10 minutes and save yrself however much it costs...we guess if we were cover stars we wouldn't complain but we despise the way the uk press works... so er...mmm...the good thing is that most of our fans are there to see us because we are brilliant not cos we're fashionable. YOU HAVE BEEN TOGETHER SEVERAL YEARS NOW BUT STILL SEEM TO BE PLAYING THE SAME SMALL VENUES TIME AND TIME AGAIN. YOU DON�T SEEM TO BE MAKING A LOT OF PROGRESS. HAS THERE BEEN TIMES WHEN YOU�VE THOUGHT ABOUT GIVING UP AND SPLITTING? making progress... mmm. yeah we do play same venues but we play our music to people who wanna hear it... amount of people fluctuates why split we not puppets or puppies we r rock n'roll band WHAT DO YOU THINK OF OTHER GLAMMY TYPE BANDS SUCH AS KING ADORA, EASYWORLD AND PHLUID? not heard enough to comment though ginna phluid very nice man HOW OLD IS DAVID?
