Mummy Dogs
Submitted by: Christie J.

Ingredients:
1can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent
dinner rolls
2 1/2 slices American cheese, quartered (2.5 oz)
10 large hot dogs
Cooking spray
Mustard or Ketchup
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Remove
the dough from the can and unroll it on a lightly flowered work area.
Separate the dough at the horizontal perforations, creating 4
rectangles. Press the remaining perforations to seal the dough. Cut each rectangle lengthwise into 10
pieces with
knife or kitchen scissors, making a total of 40 pieces of dough.
Slice the cheese slices into
quarters. Place a 1/4 slice of cheese on each hot dog and wrap
4 pieces of the dough strips around
the hot dogs and cheese slices to look like "bandages", stretching
dough slightly to completely cover hot dog leaving a space 1/2 inch
from one end of each mummy dog so the hot dog shows through for "face."
Place the
wrapped hot dogs (cheese side down) on an ungreased large cookie sheet and spray the dough lightly with cooking
spray.
Bake the mummy dogs for 15 minutes, or until the dough is light golden brown and the hot dogs are hot.
Draw the face features on with mustard or ketchup and serve.
