Leftover Turkey Sandwiches
Submitted by: Granny Jean
Our
children and grandchildren come to our house in the country for
Thanksgiving and I never feel like cooking the day after, or for a few
days after for that matter.
This is an easy way to get lunch or dinner on the table and use some of the leftovers!
Ingredients:
Leftover sliced turkey
Leftover gravy
1 slice bread per person
Directions:
Heat your leftover gravy in a saucepan on the stove top.
Once
the gravy is heated, add the turkey slices to it for a minute or two,
but don't over cook the Turkey. It does not take long to heat it
up.
Put the bread in the toaster if desired, my family thinks
its tastier when toasted. You do not need to butter the toast as the
gravy will make it soft and delicious.
Put the toast on a plate, put a couple of Turkey pieces on the toast and pour on the heated gravy.
If you have any leftover cranberries or cranberry sauce, you can serve that alongside.
Also, if you have any leftover mashed potatoes, heat them up and put a dollop on the plate.
