Football Sugar Cookies
Submitted by: Andie A.

Ingredients:
1 roll refrigerated sugar cookies
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 container of creamy chocolate ready to spread frosting
White decorating gel
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Break up the cookie dough in large bowl. Knead in the flour until everything is blended well and shape the dough into log.
Cut the dough into 32 slices, about 1/4 of an inch thick. If the dough is too soft to cut into slices, refrigerate it
until it is firm once again, but no longer than 30 minutes as after
that it becomes difficult to cut.
Lightly
flower your fingers so the dough doesn't stick to them and shape
each dough slice to a football. Once they are formed, place the slices
about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets
Bake
for 10 minutes, or until all the cookies are a golden brown. Remove the
cookie sheets from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes.
Once the cookies have slightly cooled, move them to a cooling rack
and let the cookies cool completely.
Once the cookies have cooled, evenly spread the frosting over the top of the cookies. Draw the laces on each football with the white decorating gel.
