Someone trying to sell you the latest snake oil fad diet over the Internet or in a TV commercial usually could care
less about you or your health, they only want you to give them your hard earned money!
Please
use common sense, do your research, and talk to a doctor before trying
any diet no matter where it comes from. Spending even one night in a
hospital because you're too sick to be without medical supervision
sucks, trust me I know from personal experience. I spent
a few days in one when I had heart problems.

Like
I said
before, use your head for something other than a hat holder and consult
a doctor before trying any diet.
The
Diabetic Diet:
I was given this a few years ago by a Doctor that I
trust completely. At the time he told me that this was the most nutritionally
complete and healthiest diet he could recommend to anyone for losing weight.
I
know the diet works because I used it to loose right at 150 pounds
of body fat before I was put on a couple of medications due to unrelated health issues that caused me to gain
the weight back again as a side effect.
Is this some sort of miracle diet that will make you loose weight over night?
NO it will not, but it will help you loose weight in a nice, SAFE, manner over
time. Crash and fad diets can cause you to loose wight too quickly
which is not only very unhealthy, it also causes you to have loose skin
hanging off of your body.
Have you ever seen someone that has lost a bunch of weight and had
flaps of skin on their body afterwards? That is why, they lost the
weight too quick.
The Diabetic Diet below will allow you to loose the weight at a slower
pace and you more than likely won't have
that problem because your skin will have the time
it needs to shrink to the size it now needs to be. Not only will you
feel better by losing the weight slowly, you'll look better too!

My Personal Daily Meal Pages
I
created these pages when I first
started on the Diabetic Diet to keep track of what I had eaten
throughout the week. They can also be used to create a weekly meal
planner if so desired. The red portion of the page has the daily
recommendation for the category written in the yellow part above it.
I printed the first picture out and then once the ink was dry I flipped
the page I just printed over and printed the second picture on the back
of it. This kept the full week's pages together and more organized in
the binder I was using to keep track of everything.
I also had what I called Free
Food Friday. What this means is on Friday I ate what I
wanted within reason.
If I wanted a cheese burger from a fast food restaurant, pizza, or even
ice cream, I had it in moderation. I didn't eat a whole extra large
deep dish pizza or try to clear off a whole buffet table, but if I was
craving something I had a normal serving of it even though it wasn't
exactly diet friendly.
This served two purposes:
1. I didn't constantly crave something until I broke down and
completely ruined my diet in one sitting.
and
2. I had something to look forward to each week as a reward for
sticking to my diet and I didn't get discouraged and quit by not having what I
wanted once in a while.
Now I will say this, if you slip during the week you will have to make
up for it by not having your Free
Food Friday
that week! It will be a self imposed
punishment of sorts and will keep you on track to achieving your weight
loss goal. Once you get used to having what you would like to eat on
Friday, you won't even want to break your diet because you'll be looking forward to your reward on Friday.
