He's won national & international championships in freestyle & Greco-Roman Wrestling for the Salisbury Wrestling Club. He played Hockey from the age of 4. As an accomplished athlete, Scott is a national and international champion in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling. He has been an avid hockey player since the age of four and played football for the better part of his youth. For two years he was a wide receiver for the Edmonton Wildcats. In his free time, Scott enjoys working out, rollerblading by the beach, camping and hiking. Scott's favorite sports?: "I love to play football and I love to watch hockey and Indy Car racing". How Scott got his part on Get Real.: "That was it. I auditioned and I had to worry about work permits because I am Canadian but it was a pretty easy process. It was just one audition". On the FOX drama series "Get Real." On the show, Scott played Clay, the object of Meghan's (Anne Hathaway) affections--and the boyfriend of her best friend! What does Scott think of being on Get Real?: "I love being on the show. I consider myself lucky to get up every day and go to work with the cast and crew." Did he always know that he had acting talent or was it something that he has discovered recently?: As far as talent goes, I am really just trying to learn as I go. Scott began his career in Toronto, Canada. At the suggestion of a casting agent, he decided to pursue acting and moved to Vancouver to further his career. How Scott started his career.: "I started my career through the advice of a friend. I actually had one line in a TV movie and that was my first acting job. The movie was "The Greg Louganis Story." What advice does Scott have for someone who wants to be an actor?: "My advice would be that you must be absolutely sure you want to do this. You'll have to work incredibly hard at your craft and never give up". Scott's last name is Greek.: "Although my last name is Greek I have so many different nationalities in me. I have not had the opportunity to explore my Greek heritage. At some point I would like to do that". The people that he looks up to the most are his mom and dad. How Scott feels about the attention he gets from his female fans.: "The attention is really flattering. Although I don't see all that much attention. It never really makes it to me". Has Scott ever broken a bone?: "Yeah, I broke my ankle and my wrist and many fingers and my nose. But your nose isn't a bone. I broke my nose three times playing football". Scott on school plays.: "I did plays in Elementary and Junior High. Once in high school I didn't do any plays. I was into football and wrestling". Is Scott a surfer?: "No, I have gone surfing once but I am not very good at it. I plan to keep trying though so I can get good at it". How does Scott like playing a high schooler?: "It's kinda neat. I think I have been in high school longer now than anyone ever has. But it's fun". Is Scott like his character from Breaker High, Max Ballard?: "There are certain aspects of Max that were like me and certain ones that weren't. Max was a little more moody than I am though". What position did he play in football?: "I was a wide receiver and a slotback in high school". Can he still go out and not be noticed by fans?: "Yeah...It doesn't seem to be much of a problem. Part of the reason is I try not to draw attention to myself. If you don't make a big deal no one else will". Does Scott still keep in contact with the other actors from Breaker High?: "I keep in close contact with the cast. I am very good friends with Ryan Gosling. Talked to Rachel Wilson the other day. Saw Terri Conn on the weekend. So we definitely stay in close contact". When did he start acting and who has been his major influences?: "I started acting about 4 years ago. There aren't really any major influences in how I act other than the life experiences that I gain. There are a lot of actors out there though that I admire and enjoy their work". What Scott looks for in a girl.: "I think I'll know it when I see it. It depends on the girl, her personality and the way she carries herself". What he likes to do when he's not working.: "Lately I've been watching a lot of movies. I try to stay active...go to gym, play hockey, going for walks and staying home with friends and relaxing". Do his family and friends support him in his career choice?: "I think the main reason why I'm even the least bit successful not necessarily in acting but in life is because of the support of my family and friends". If Scott were stranded on a deserted island and he had three things with him, what would he want them to be and why?: "A boat to get off the island. If I can't have that I would want my parents and a roller coaster". What roles does he most enjoy playing?: "Definitely roles that challenge me. At this point I'm trying to learn as much as I can. I like trying to play roles that have a sports influence - I love sports and what's better than trying to combine the things that you love". The tatoo. Why is it there, when did it get there, what is it and is it real? The tattoo is a Celtic symbol that was designed for "Breaker High". It�s not real. What or who are some of your influences acting-wise? I have a lot of influences acting-wise. Two actors I admire are Sean Penn and Johnny Depp. How did you get into acting, and what do you hope to do in the future with this career? I met a casting director who recommended I try doing it. In the future, I hope to continue working and become a better actor. What are some of your other hobbies and interests? I love all kinds of sports, especially football. How did you come to play Max Ballard on Breaker High? Lots and lots of auditions. Then they flew me down to L.A. for a screen-test and then they offered me the job. Are you and Max similar in any way? I try to find similarities to myself in any role I play. Max is kind of a sensitive guy, which I am also. He does his own thing, which I like to try to do as well. Do you read fanmail? Yes. I will try and write back as much as possible. What's your nationality, background? (Greek?) My last name is Greek, but I�m a mutt. I have a lot of different nationalities in me. Do you have a girlfriend? No. What's the perfect date? I don�t think there is only one perfect date. A perfect date can be anything from sitting and having a nice conversation on the beach to having a romantic dinner in front of a fire. |
