View of City Lake

This is a view of the "upper" lake.  In the background you can see the trestle.  This was taken from the official, concrete boat ramp.  It is rarely used because it is way too steep.  A few years back, a couple were launching their boat with their brand new Chevy pickup when it decided to go for a swim.  The ramp was just too steep and the truck, which was only like 4 months old, wound up in about 35 feet of water.  Took divers to get it out.  Made the front page of the local paper.  After retrieving it, the diver was heard to say, "Shoulda seen the one that got away."  (OK, maybe I made up that last part.)
