Handicap Fishing Platform

This is a very nice little place to fish from.  Parking is excellent, placing you right at the head of the ramp to the platform.  The concrete portion of the ramp is very gently sloped and easily managed.  The railed portion, which has plastic decking instead of the more traditional wood, is pretty much completely flat.  The platform is about 12'x12' which proved to be a good size for my brother and me.  Even though the platform has a roof, it was easy to cast sidearm from.  And that roof sure would be welcome for shade if the sun was beating down.  There is an opening on one side (right in picture) that would allow for easy loading of a wheelchair into a boat.  It did not have a gate, which I think is an oversight, but the platform was canted away from the opening.  If I just let go of my chair with no brakes on, I rolled away from the opening.
