| How it was Done: |
| I usually use Memories permanent dye ink because it gives a nice, strong black color that will not run if you color in your scene using watercolors or markers. 1. First stamp the tombstones on the bottom left of the scene. I only inked part of the image the first time. 2. Make several copies of the stamped image, reducing them in size. 3. Arrange the tombstone images on the page and glue them down. 4. Stamp a few smaller rocks around the tombstones. 5. Stamp the large tree on the right side of the scene. Make and place a rough mask over the tree (don't worry about cutting around each tiny branch). 6. Using a stamp posiitoner, stamp the cemetary fence. 7. Stamp the bridge, then reink the water protion and continue the flow of water on either side of the bridge. 8. Stamp the small tree on the left side of the scene. 9. Using a stamp positioner, stamp the castle just above the bridge. Mask the castle. 10. Stamp the tree line on either side of the castle. 11. Stamp the moon. 12. Stamp the robed woman onto a separate sheet of paper. Photocopy and reduce several times. Cut out the various sized images and glue close together on one sheet of paper. Photocopy the various sized images onto a sheet of vellum. When the ink is dry, trim carefully. 13. Stamp the black cat. 14. Add dirt texture, cobblestones, small rocks and any other texture you feel would look good. 15. Color in the scene, using pencils, chalks, markers, or whatever suits your mood. 16. Glue the vellum pieces of the robed woman in place - reverse the two larger images so it looks like she's headed for the gate and castle.. 17. Add funny names and sayings to the tombstones, if desired. 18. I typed the saying on the computer, trimmed it and glued it on when the scene was finished. |
