| 2006-2007 is finally upon us! I hope all of you survived the summer break. Twilight camp was a hit, Thanks to all who helped out! NEW this year All adults that help with your troop must have a background check, this includes moms and dads who help with open cookie sales. The form is straight forward and can be obtained from Bea Crawford 503-543-8548. ALSO all leaders must have completed the requried training, PAL and NLB are available online. Go outdoors is required for all troop events that are more than 4 hours in length, this means pretty much any field trip, even to the saurkraut festival if you are there more than 4 hours. Sign up for these trainings in the great guide, available online now. Recruitment is getting underway at the carious schools in the neighborhood, if you know of anyone wanting to join have them fill out the from from school and we will get in touch with them as new troops form. REMEMBER we can't form new troops without new volunteers! COOKIE NEWS Cookie mom meeting and signups for open sales at the December leader meeting (12/5), if you don't have a representative at the meeting you may miss out on open sales, plan for this now.(don't forget the background check form) UPCOMING EVENTS 9/30/06 GirlFest Saturday, September 30, 2006 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Portland EXPO Center GirlFest is a celebration of �everything cool about being a girl!� Admission is FREE Vendors and concessions will have products for purchase. JULIETT LOWE BITHDAY PARTY/ICE CREAM SOCIAL 10/12/06 Thursday (no school Friday) 7-8:30pm Cost: $1.50 (includes patch)$1.00 for tagalongs.
