Welcome To My Rat Page

Since losing Tasha, my dog, last year, I was at a lose in the pet department. I had always had hampsters before, as a small pet, and had not long lost my last one to old age. When a friend suggested a rat, I was very unsure. Rats had a bad press and in our house I had my Mum. She did not want a rat, mouse or any other furry creature.

So to my supprize on April Fools Day, 1st April 1999, a good friend of mine turned up with one small brown ball of fluff. Well she had to be called "April" didn't she. Within a few minutes of her arrival she was out wanting cuddles, I was amazed after having hampsters who take their time to get to know you.

She soon ended up with her sister, to keep her company. Robyn, so called as she has a beige hood - "Robin Hood", LOL, turn out to be alittle more timid but is still wonderful fun and is coming on really well.

Well we've been together a whole year and I would now never be without them. As pets they are easy to handle, clean, full of fun, and great with children.
