Grouped with five others who are much older than her, Canace is one of the chosen. She, too, must fight a destroying force as a member of the Six, a predestined group. Canace is in possession of the Orb of Air, the final Orb needed to complete the group. Hope and Canace become fast friends. Hope, then a senior, is reminded of her old - and lost - best friend, Sarah, through Canace's almost-giddy attitude and amiability. Unlike Sarah, though, Canace has seen the tragedies and sorrows in the World of Vice that the Six must constantly endure. Her philosophy, however, is to shrug all of it off - something that Hope was never able to do. Canace lives for the moment, fulfilling her dreams and choosing to believe in goodness by acting on intuition. Canace's beliefs, though they are present for only a short time, give Hope just a little more strength when her own morale begins to seriously falter.
