Sailor Uranus is a very tough person. She is extremely strong-willed and will do whatever it takes to do the most good -- even if it means the death of another sailor scout. In fact, when she and Neptune first appeared, it was hard to distinguish whether she was good or bad. She doesn't like Sailor
Moon very much. She, like Raye, believes that Serena is much too weak to be the next leader of the world. In fact, it wasn't until the end of S until she acknowledged the fact that Sailor Moon may be a decent leader with some work. It is ironic because Amara is very protective of Serena and really likes her as a friend. Or maybe more than a friend...
Sailor Uranus likes to dress in male clothing. She even wears the male school uniform to school. In fact, Serena and Mina thought that she was a cute-looking guy.;) Many have asked if she is gay, and yes she probably is, despite the fact that they never come out and plainly say it.
Her, Neptune, Pluto, and Saturn combine the outer sailor scouts
who's mission is to protect Earth from outside invaders (aliens), and of course to protect the Moon Princess, although that is mostly the Inner Scouts job. Anyway, as a result they have some of the most powerful attacks of all the scouts.
Amara is very distrustful, I mean, it takes her forever to trust Sailor Moon as a leader, and a good one at that. She believes that since Sailor Moon is unwilling to sacrifice innocent people in order to find the talismans and save the universe, there's no way she can handle ruling the world. But Sailor Uranus learns later that there are other ways to accomplish their mission without sacrificing humans and comes to respect Sailor Moon through this.
**INTERESTING FACT: At first, Amara didn't want to become a sailor scout, she wanted to resume a normal life. She didn't even like Michelle the first time she saw her. She had her memories before recieving her transformation (henshin) stick. She met Michelle and they instantly knew each other and a transformation stick appeared in front of Amara. Michelle warned her during her fight with a monster of the day, that if she took the stick her life would be changed forever. Amara was touched by the fact that Michelle was putting her life before Amara's that she took her transformation pen so she could help her. Though reluctant, she didn't want to stand by and watch the world come to an end.
