Kukuyo Junior High Gang
Many students from Namimori were attacked by students from Kokuyo Junior High, including Gokudera. After Reborn identified who these attackers were, Tsuna got a letter from the 9th Vongola boss telling him that he had to go out and capture these attackers. Tsuna was joined by Gokudera, Yamamoto, and Bianchi as they went to Kokuyo Land Amusement park where they would find the targets. During this time Reborn's pet lizard, Leon, lost his tail and started to undergo a transformation. Reborn tells him that the last time this happened Leon produced a weapon for Dino to use meaning it was now Tsuna's time.
Tsuna takes down the fake Mukuro	At the amusement park Tsuna remembers when he was brought there as a kid, but each member of their team is attacked soon after. Luckily they are able to defeat these attackers from Kokuyo Junior High. Tsuna went into the woods looking for the gang's leader, when he came across a student with a strange symbol on his eye who claims to have been held captive by the members of this school. He asks Tsuna many questions about Reborn and begins to demand answers up until Tsuna gets scared and runs away. However as he runs away he comes across a man with a giant ball and chain who claims to be the gang's leader Mukuro. Tsuna notices that this man has already defeated all of his friends and Reborn uses the last Dying Will Bullet on Tsuna who is able to fight this man and defeat him, only to learn afterward that he wasn't Mukuro after all, but merely a captive of Mukuro named Lancia who was being forced to fight against his will.
All alone now Tsuna enters a stage and finds the student he had just talked to, who reveals himself to be the real Mukuro. But Tsuna sees he isn't the only one to make it this far, as the head of the school's disciplinary committee, Hibari, attacks and fights Mukuro. It looks like he has won, but then he is attacked from the back, and Mukuro reveals that he has the power to possess others he has cut with his trident. Gokudera and Bianchi come in and, possessed by Mukuro, start fighting Tsuna. Tsuna shows some bravery in not running away as he wants to save these two, and it is this courage that causes Leon to produce the two gifts for Tsuna. The first is a pair of gloves that look like normal mittens, and the other is another bullet for Reborn to fire, even though he has no idea what the effect of this one will be. Tsuna in his new Hyper Dying Will Mode is able to fight Mukuro	When Tsuna is hit by the bullet, while wearing the mittens, he enters a new stage. He no longer goes into Dying Will Mode with these gloves on, he goes into Hyper Dying Will Mode, a mode that doesn't strengthen his outer self, but his inner. This stage allows him to see all that is real and he can fight his friends and knock them out in a way that will not hurt them but just knock them out. He then fights Mukuro and reveals that his gloves can keep him afloat in the air and even allow him to fly for limited amounts, which gives him the edge to maneuver around Mukuro's attacks and finally defeat him. After this defeat, the Vendice show up and take Mukuro away to prison while a team of medics from the mafia arrive to try and help Tsuna's friends.
