Suffering from Profiler withdrawal with no hope of a cure because Ally Walker's left the show and Jamie Luner just isn't working for you?  Craving something to read that you don't have to print and bind yourself (in other words, not fanfic)?  Here are some works of literature in the spirit of the series, works that you can use to impress friends, colleagues, family and professors at the same time!  Oh, and since I'm a SABER, this list will reflect that, but since none of these stories involve characters from the show, Believers should be able to enjoy it too.  They'll just have to find different reasons than I did for certain works being on this list!  ;-)

Allusions (literary works the series has alluded to) Cases (good suspenseful mysteries) Soulmates (literary predecessors and/or kindred spirits of Sam and Bailey)
Tommy and Tuppence Beresford created by Agatha Christie Lord Peter Wimsey and Harriet Vane created by Dorothy Sayers Others

The following recommendations aren't just for the young, since I've enjoyed them as well, they're just novels, etc. written with children and young adults in mind.  These won't do as much to impress people, but they're still worth reading. ;-)

Juvenile Fiction
The Nancy Drew Mysteries by Carolyn Keene--Classic young adult mysteries with a female detective and a supporting character named George!  :-)  You'll forgive me if I don't list all the innumerable titles here.

The Hardy Boys Mysteries by Frank W. Dixon--Just picture John and Nathan poring over these as kids. :-) Again, not gonna list all the titles here.

Encyclopedia Brown Mysteries by ?

Young Adult Fiction
By L.M. Montgomery--This turn-of-the-century author had a fondness for heroines who couldn't decide between the men in their lives.  But in the end, they always ended up with the right one--Hey, Mr. Kronish, you listening? By Christopher Pike Others
